This article will answer many questions you may have regarding the new "A La Carte" services we are proud to offer.

Question: What are "A La Carte" games?

Answer: "A La Carte" games are games that are available for purchase.  If you see a "1 Hour Free trial" button or a "Buy" button as seen below, you may purchase the game.


Question: What is the difference between an "A La Carte" game and a game in subscription?

Answer:  An "A La Carte" game is a game that is available for purchase to own.  Subscription games are games that you can play by subscribing to our service.  Currently, all games in our service, including those that you can buy, can be played by signing up for our service.

Question: Can I get a refund for an "A La Carte" game I purchased?

Answer: All purchases are final.  Please contact Verizon Games Customer Support if you require further assistance due to any technical difficulties.

Question: What is an Activation Code?

Answer:  An Activation Code is a set of digits and numerals used to unlock a purchased "A La Carte" game.  You will be provided with this key after completing your game purchase.


Question: I lost my Activation Code, can I get a replacement?

Answer:  For assistance with Activation Codes, please contact Verizon Games Customer Support.

Question: How many Activation Codes do I get?

Answer:  You get 1 Activation Code but it allows you to unlock the game on 3 different computers.

Question:  How do I get additional Activation Codes?

Answer: To get Additional Activation codes, you will need to repurchase the game.  If you had technical difficulties during your activations, please contact Verizon Games Customer Support for assistance.

Question: Why doesn't my Activation Code work?

Answer: If your Activation Code doesn't work, you may have used all of your activation allowances.  The Activation Code you received after purchase allows you to activate the game on up to 3 difference computers.  If you exceeded your allowance, you will need to repurchase the game.  If you had technical difficulties during your activations, please contact Verizon Games Customer Support for assistance.

Question:  How much do additional Activation Codes cost?

Answer: Additional Activation Codes cost the same as the purchase price of the game.

Question: I didn't get an Activation Code.  Where can I get it for the game I bought?

Answer:  You should have received your activation code by email that you provided after purchase.  If you are unable to locate your Activation Code, please contact Verizon Games Customer Support .

Question: Can I buy a game for someone else as a gift?

Answer:  Yes, after completing your purchase, you will be taken to a screen similar to this one below where you'll be asked to enter your name and email address. You may enter the name and address of the person to whom you would like to gift your "A La Carte" game.


Question:  How do I find games that I can buy?

You can find games for purchase by selecting "A La Carte" from the "Show Only" game filter or the curved navigation bar in the PC app as shown below. To find the "A La Carte" label on the curved navigation bar, you will need to scroll to the right.  You may also look for the "$" icon to quickly identify games that you can purchase from the list view.


Question: What is the difference between the "Play 1 Hour Free" button and the "Buy for $19.99" button?

Answer:  Selecting the 'Play 1 Hour Free" button allows you to play the game for 1 hour free.

Question: I bought the game but why do I keep seeing a screen asking me to buy the game?

Answer:  You still need to activate the game.  Once activated, you will no longer see the promotion screen.  To activate your game, please click on the "Already Paid?" link as shown below.  You will then be asked to enter your 16-digit Activation Code.  You should have received your Activation Code by email.  For assistance, please contact Verizon Games Customer Support.


Question: How do I activate my game that I purchased?

Answer: To activate your game, please click on the "Already Paid?" link as shown below.  You will then be asked to enter your 16-digit Activation Code.  You should have received your activation code by email.  Please check your junk or spam folder of your email account.  For assistance, please contact Verizon Games Customer Support.


Question: Why do I see the same game twice in "My Games"?

Answer: A game can appear twice in "My Games" if you've downloaded the "A La Carte" version and the subscription version of the same game.  If you've purchased the game, you may delete the subscription version.  If you have not purchased the game and you do not plan on buying it, then you should delete the "A La Carte" version as you will not be able to play it beyond the 1 hour free trial time.
