How do I update my DirectX Component?

Most games require the latest version of DirectX in order to run properly.  DirectX is a free program that is offered by Microsoft.  Please follow these directions to download and install the DirectX Component:


1.  Click here


2.  Click the "Download" button on the page

  • NOTE:  You may receive a "May we suggestion..." pop up window asking to download other programs.  Don't put a checkmark next to any of those optional programs and click "Next"

3.  Once the file finishes downloading, please be sure to select "RUN".


4.  Follow the installation instructions (pretty much just click "Next") until the component has finished installing.


5.  When the program has finished installing click "Finish".


You will need to Restart your computer in order for the update to take effect.
